Eli Spiro, L.L.B, M.B.A.
My goal in partnering with Dr. Levy on this book is to share my knowledge learned in over twenty years working in investment banking. As professionals, we are exposed to a variety of businesses, transactions, and sophisticated deal structures. I am constantly engaged with high-octane entrepreneurs and business leaders who have been very prosperous in their careers. Many of these people understand their strengths in running a business, but like doctors, they are rarely exposed to investment strategies. They also struggle with how to prudently invest their own hard-earned capital. I’ve had many discussions with exceptional business leaders who are uncomfortable having conversations about budgeting, saving, and investing. This book will help you become well informed on the options available to you based on where you are in your career, as well as your individual risk appetite.
- I have spent the past nine years as CEO of Axxcess Capital, LLC, a boutique investment banking firm focused on specialty finance transactions. I advise clients on capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate strategy, mostly in the private markets.
- Previously I was the Vice President of investment banking in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs & Co. advising clients on multiple buy-side and sell-side transactions in the specialty finance space. I created acquisition models, coordinated due diligence sessions, drafted numerous information memorandums, and presented at key management and board meetings.
- I hold a Bachelor of Administrative Studies (BAS) degree from York University and a joint Bachelor of Laws/Master of Business Administration (LLB/MBA) from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
I thoroughly enjoy helping professionals understand the world of investing and guiding them to maximize their incomes within their tolerance for risk.
